Lil Grove f/ Criminal Mane “Anna With Ya N****z” (199?) (prod. by DJ Zirk)
I was the first to put the word ‘anna’ on a tape and then I turn around and DJ Paul and everybody else saying anna all over they tapes.
Zirk and his 2 Thick Family* had a long-standing animosity towards DJ Paul and Juicy J due to Three 6 often jumping on, or subtly flipping, Zirk’s records into their own. Of course this displeasure culminated in quite possibly the buckest diss record of the era, “Lock Em In Da Trunk”, which was allegedly banned from the Memphis airwaves because, well, the song is about riding around with a dead body in the trunk.
The rivaly between 2 Thick and Three 6 continued for almost 15 years before finally being laid to rest in 2010. However, 2 Thick weren’t the only ones with some “anna” towards Paul and J over the years, either.
