Lil V-Dog & Killamac “Cold Blooded” (1996, Hoe Yean Know Records)
Criminal Manne of The Project Playaz, the rapper responsible for producing Da Compilation cassette tape this track is from, is a vetern Memphis rapper who in recent years has put out a steady stream of mixtapes and albums, mostly in his Certified Dopeboy series.
In 2011, he’s already put out a pair of mixtapes, Blow and Blow 2. The former is produced entirely by Lil Lody, and the latter split between Lody and Manne’s longtime collaborator, DJ Squeeky, a Memphis producer known regionally for his work with artists like Kingpin Skinny Pimp, DJ Zirk and Eightball.
“Cold Blooded” features Lil V-Dog who sounds like (is?) V-Slash and Killamac of the Skimask Troopaz, with rapping about robbery and PCP-fueled killers.
