Tity Boi- Riding Thru Clouds (from Codeine Cowboy, 2011)
My post on SL Jones mentioned Tity Boi and the organic weirdness that’s been brought out on his tapes over the year. This cut, from Codeine Cowboy, stands as one of the most authentically strange and personal things I’ve heard lyrically this year. It’s on a Lil B level of bizarro emoting; the song refers to his dead dog, having ulcers, high-fiving airplanes, and his chick who’s “like a goddess, hair down to her asshole”. Also is one of my favorite tracks of the year.
