The Jacka & Eldorado Red “Hey Love” (2011)
The Jacka is usually best over a slow-burning, soulful production like this one (or, more recently, “Hustle In The Rain,” “Mob Shit,” or really, any of his classic), while Eldorado Red seems to find the most inspiration with baroque trap productions like on Return Of Da Mob or that cheap-synth and 808 post-Shawty Redd / Zaytoven ATL sound, like “Play Ur Position.”
On “Hey Love,” these two artists link up (for the first time, I have to imagine) over the Delfonics record of the same name, to discuss “loved ones who got me through the hardships / when I was on the block sellin’ that hard shit.”
Oh, and also Allah, of course.
