S.A.H.:  50 Tracks That You Should Have Heard This Year Alright, here’s this.  A lot of lists have been published over the last 4-5 weeks, some great, some paint-by-numbers, but they’re all worth sifting through, imo, for those few that manage to put you up on small pockets of regional / internet artists pushing the boundaries of the genre, taking risks, and making music simply because they can (I always thought that was kind of the point, rather than shuffling around the same records into a different order). That’s what we’ve tried to do here (mostly — still needed to rep for our Artist Of The Year on there, as well as a few records that have received plenty of praise, but we still couldn’t stop listening to this year).  Also, we didn’t see the need to confine ourselves to “proper” singles, because even if that made sense before rap music moved to the Web (R.I.P.
