Jess Paper feat. Ethereal and Flytastik “Crepes and Tea” (from 42 Degrees, 2010)
I tried to post this last night but Tumblr was being a dick, so you get it today. This is probably my favorite track off Ethereal’s 42 Degrees mixtape, which is the best thing I’ve heard in a minute. Most of the rapping on the tape consists of odes to weed and longform Mary Jane-as-a-woman metaphors, but on this cut they step away and do something different (though wholly blunted). I don’t know who exactly Jess Paper is but her opening lines are great: “I believe in fairy tales but mines are a bit corrupted/my daydreams are so intense like reality but interrupted”. I’m telling you all, check this shit out, for real.
